The San Benito Wildfire Resilience Program (SBWRP) is pleased to announce that the SBWRP StoryMap has been completed and is now available for viewing. This StoryMap is a highly visual, interactive digital storytelling tool that presents the Program’s multi-year collaborative effort that updated the Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) in 2024, and developed a Regional Priority Plan (RPP) in 2025.

Within this StoryMap, you can scroll down the webpage to read through a narrative highlighting key components from the updated San Benito CWPP including wildfire risks and response, mitigation strategies, and collective action strategies. A link to the full CWPP is also provided. Towards the bottom, you will find the San Benito RPP, which prioritizes hazardous fuel reduction projects in high-risk areas across both public and private lands in San Benito County. Information about each project’s implementation status, planned activities, funding sources, etc. is shown in the RPP project list, and depicted on the RPP map for projects for which location information was available.
