Central Coast Livestock and Range Workshop
The Central Coast Livestock and Range Workshop will be held on October 23, 2026, at the Monterey County UCCE/Ag Complex, 1432 Abbott St, Salinas, CA, focused on practical strategies for managing rangelands and livestock production under changing and increasingly variable climatic conditions.
The workshop will cover the weather outlook for the upcoming season, the implications and best management practices under increasingly variable weather conditions, weed management and using grazing as a vegetation management and fire resilience tool. We will also have a presentation on the research findings shared at the May 4, 2026 Longitudinal Study Industry Briefing, with a focus on the relationships between livestock, wildlife and food safety.
