With the theme "Herd 'round the World: Celebrating Global Rangelands and Pastoralism," the 2026 SRM annual meeting aims to elevate global awareness about the critical importance of healthy rangeland ecosystems and their contribution to economic prosperity, sustainable livelihoods, and food security. Meeting symposia, presentation and poster sessions, and workshops will highlight how pastoralists worldwide steward vast landscapes, drawing upon generations of ecological wisdom and adaptive management techniques.

Two of the SRM regional tours (February 8th and 12th) will feature grazing lands in San Benito County, including Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area, Paicines Ranch, SBALT’s Nyland Property, and Pinnacles National Park’s grazing project on the “bottomlands”.  Click HERE to register.
